How to prevent a computer from accessing the network without a VPN?

Good afternoon!
There is a computer that is connected to the VPN, and through its IP it already has access to the network. Sometimes the VPN goes down. Is it possible to configure something in the system so that if the VPN drops, then the network does not work at all?

is done simply: in the network settings, the standard gateway (gateway) is registered on the computer on the other side of the VPN. When the network goes down, the gateway becomes unavailable and all packets are returned with an error message.

You can hang up a vpn network ping and disable network interfaces when the ping disappears.
connect when ping fails
disable network interface from command line
