I recommend 2 series: Stranger Things and Sherlock.
Stranger Things: I watched season 1 (in Russian) in 2 days (I could have done it in one, but I had to go to bed at 1 a.m. :) ) and got a lot of emotions, and now I'm sitting looking forward to the second season, which will be released on October 27. The speech is varied and there are phrases like "Wait up", "Shut up" etc.
Somewhere from the Pre-intermediate level, you can already try to look, or better, Intermediate in general.
Here is a quote from Wikipedia about what the movie is about:
This is not the whole quote, but you don’t need to know more because spoilers.
Series 1 will not say that the most interesting, but very good, and then more and more intrigue and interest.
PS Stranger Things is made by Netflix, and the main character starred in It, and indeed there are references to King in the film.
Sherlock: Do you really need to tell something about Sherlock Holmes? I can only say that the main character is magnificent and keeps the whole film in suspense, that the action was transferred to the 21st century, and the main ideas of the plot remained.
PS It's better to watch not earlier than the Intermediate level.
I also recommend watching Gravity Falls.
Even the Pre-intermediate level is enough in it and the cartoon itself is interesting and I think you have heard about it.
You can also watch presentations, for example, on Google Pixel or other events of interest to you. There you need a not very fluent level of English, and it’s interesting to see.
Dexter, House of Cards
Don't forget the subtitles. If you think that they are corrupting, you can turn them off if you wish, for example, watch once with them, then without them.
Another great series is Westworld .
