What to work after the end of "Infocommunication technologies and communication systems"?

Hello.
I am going to enter the specialty "Infocommunication technologies and communication systems".
The question is: who, besides a system administrator, can work after graduation?
What is better to start studying on your own (not physics / mathematics / computer science, everything is fine with them) and what to focus on after admission?
Now I am studying the CCNA preparation course on my own.

Anyone.
Education and further work are weakly related to each other.
There are exceptions:
Without specialized education, you will not be able to practice as a doctor (only as an orderly).
Without a specialized education, you will not be able to become an officer (a warrant officer is the ceiling).
Without passing driver training, you will not be able to work as a driver.
Judges, notaries need legal education.
Etc.
There are no such restrictions in IT.
There are small exceptions in IT:

  1. State offices, large corporations, banks - require a crust. At least some. The specific specialty is not important.
  2. At the same time, large corporations specializing in IT do not require this, but their presence simplifies employment while you have no experience. After gaining experience, they are not even interested in crusts.
  3. Profile crusts will be needed to obtain a work visa (you cannot work on a tourist visa) to work abroad for foreign enterprises.
  4. To work remotely for a foreign company, no crusts are required.

And what was written on the stands when you chose your specialization? It seems like they write prospects in one direction or another.
Also, talk to the head of the department.
Talk to the fifth-year students in this specialization - they should have decided already on the 3rd.
Try first to find a place where you would like to work and ask around in the personnel department - what kind of specialists they are waiting for and maybe even pay for their studies or retraining.
In any case, from the second year you will need to look for a job and change your specialization in time.

In general, IKTiSS is the basis of telecom. Those. connection. Yes, modern communication systems are closely related to administration, but it is not entirely clear where the system administrator came from here. The lectures given in this course are very superficially related to IT. The main subjects there are digital and analog signal processing, the basics of switching, communication networks and, more recently, the basics of mobile networks. With such an education, you are on the road towards telecom operators. I am telling you as a person with a long experience in telecom and who once completed this course.
