Windows 7 hangs when connecting to the Internet, what's the problem?
Good afternoon. For the first time I see such a problem, in Google I did not find the error as such and its solution, so I am writing here.
The point is this. There is a computer (not the oldest). Without an Internet connection (not connected via cable), it works stably and there are no problems. As soon as I connect the Internet wire, wild lags begin and it is impossible to work. The system is not loaded according to the charts, and the entire interface thinks for a very long time. I tried to check for viruses (through Avast, Avira and Kaspersky) - the result is zero.
I've been struggling with this problem for 3 weeks now. What could be the problem and how to solve it?
PS: Some say that the problem is in the network card, but how exactly to check it?
Thanks in advance!

Check the task manager when the internet is off. In the processes tab, you need to look at the svhost process, it must be started from the system. If there are several of them (there are also from the user's name), then you have caught the miner. You will need to open start, execute msconfig and look at autoload, disable suspicious and idle, then open start again, run shell: startup and look for suspicious shortcuts there
I had something similar with one of my moms.
The computer worked fine, the filmmaker even drove for half an hour, until an attempt was made to go online - immediately a 100% freeze.
as it turned out, the south bridge was unsoldered - in the repair they warmed it up with a hot air gun, it soldered back and everything became normal.
Tried checking for viruses
