USB flash drives
VadimFox, 2018-10-27 04:20:58

What to use to create a multiboot flash drive?

Requires software that meets the criteria:
*When adding a new one or updating an old one, you do not need to overwrite the entire flash drive
*Easy and quick to set up

Multiboot flash drives are not needed, use Zalman VE400 or equivalent. A real lifesaver, you will forget about fussing with flash drives like a bad dream.

If we are talking about throwing / replacing / deleting images on a USB flash drive, then the cross-platform MultiBootUSB
multibootusb.org is very good
UPD: If anyone else is looking for such software, I recommend using the cross-platform Ventoy . It formats the flash drive into two partitions: main and boot (small and hidden).
You simply copy the necessary images to the main partition (you can not only to the root, but also to folders). And when you boot from a flash drive, it loads a menu that displays all the images found on the main partition. You don’t need to write anything in the configs, you don’t have to unpack the images as in multibootusb. A very handy item!

A disk emulator is a good thing, of course, but it costs a lot to put it mildly.
