Boot from LiveSD and check there. If they don’t work in another system, then it’s not destiny. I had the same case. The flash drive did not work only in my computer - it was fine in all others, all other flash drives also worked for me. But specifically one in my computer - no.

But briefly - insert a USB flash drive (provided that it is readable on another PC); enter BIOS; disable SecureBoot; it should appear in the list of available devices.
