What to read to improve self-selling skills?

After reading the book "Pragmatic Programmer" I realized that my self-selling skills in the foreign market of remote work and freelance exchanges are very bad.
What can you read, what projects to participate in and in general how to be and what to do in order to start "selling well"?

Soft skills do not come from books, but as a result of regular practice of appropriate communication with people. Go to interviews, freelance, manipulate colleagues and management, bargain with everyone. An understanding of the functioning of market mechanisms can help, since labor relations are a special case of commodity-money relations. And of course, it is worth working on a personal brand.

Yes, there are no skits here. If you are not Jimmy McGill, do not have about the same charisma and eloquence, then I am afraid you will not fill anything with soft skills. A good portfolio and professionalism in this particular case will be much more important, and in your case it is easier and faster to download it than an eloquence branch.
No customer would prefer a hunchbacked salesperson with a poor portfolio to a laconic, modest professional with an excellent portfolio. And if he prefers - so much the better, then a bad customer.
