What to lean towards?

Hello. Advise how to be.
I have experience as a coder for half a year. I work in a web studio. And I'm finishing a long-term project on Upwork.
Interested in JS programming. Very exciting, even when writing simple jQuery scripts.
Interesting design. I really like drawing, painting, working with color.
I would like to learn both how to make cool design and how to program in JS.
What should I focus more on now?
Start sketching the sites you like, study UI / UX? Take a course here ?
Start deep learning JS? Master MVC framework?

It is better to focus on creating fast web applications (single page application: JS, AJAX, Angular, etc.) that interact with the server through the REST-API.
Then learn PhoneGap and immediately make a "package of services": website + mobile applications of this site.

If you are 20 years old, then you can safely study both areas.
If you are over 30 then stop at JS

If there is an opportunity and desire, then courses like www.artworks.pictures/studio/courses/drawing will definitely not be superfluous. But it's better to decide for yourself what you will do bias - design or writing code. It is sometimes difficult to combine both without losing the quality of some part of the whole work.
