Is the sendmail-mta process taking 3-5% of CPU time on my VPS? My site may have been hacked... What should I do? How to deal with it?

this process indicates that the sendmail mail agent is running on your server, that is, mail is being sent from your server. If it is not needed, you can disable it with the
`service sendmail stop` command
