Huawei E156G on Ubuntu 12.04?

It was Ubuntu 10.10, the modem worked on it. Installed 12.04 the modem does not work.
Installed wvdial, configured the config, specifying Modem = /dev/ttyUSB0. There is ttyUSB0 in the list of devices, when connected via wvdial it says: Cannot open /dev/ttyUSB0: No such file or directory
What to do?

You really were in a hurry. It happens that the modem is not detected immediately, but with a delay, or even the second time (this one for some reason, I don’t know about the rest). Try plugging it into the port and wait for the cherished window with a text field to enter a PIN code to appear. I also use Huawei E156G , I came across. On my xUbuntu 12.04, it started up and worked just with a big delay (several minutes for sure).
