What to do if the monitor on the laptop does not work?

Laptop dell inspiron n5110.
It turns on (the power lamp is on), the cooler spins, but the monitor does not display anything, it also does not respond to an external monitor.
There are no sound signals.
What could be the problem?

Such symptoms are usually due to a dead RAM bar (coolers are spinning, but the BIOS does not beep and there is no picture).
