What to do if the MAC monitor is not adjustable?

Hello, I have a MAC, it's about a year old. Works good. But for a month now, something has happened to the monitor. I used to be able to lock it by turning it up and down, but now it's not adjustable, not at all. I don't know if I broke it or something else? Can it be fixed at home?
