What to do if bios does not see the hard drive?

Hello.
The problem is this: there are two laptops. On one Windows 8.1 on the other a dozen. After changing the hard drives, the second laptop (which originally had a dozen) does not detect the drive. And the first normally took the top ten and launched it.
Question: how to make the eight run?
PS: the disc itself with the figure eight is fine. If you put both disks on the second one at once, then it is displayed in the device manager. I tried to press ESC during boot, and then F9, but even there the disk with the eight is not displayed. Reinstalling the eight is not an option.
Thanks in advance.

If earlier, when loading Windows 8.1, a logo was displayed at the very beginning in the center of the screen

like this

it means that Windows is installed in Legacy mode and on the laptop where it did not start is in UEFI mode,
or if there was no such logo before, then Windows is installed in UEFI mode and Legacy mode is set on the laptop
play BIOS with switching UEFI mode, Legacy, Legacy support Fist Boot from UEFI and the like.

so is there a bootloader at all on the eight? did you change the parameters secure boot, fast boot ... etc.

Is there an EFI boot partition on the disk on which the figure eight is present? Most likely, the laptop is in UEFI only boot mode (or Legacy is simply cut off in it - which is no longer uncommon) and therefore puts a huge bolt on all disks that do not have an EFI boot partition.
