What to choose the topic of the diploma (applied mathematics)?

Hello! Please help me choose the topic of my thesis.
Input data:
Theme of the course work: Strassen's algorithm (multiplication, finding the inverse matrix and determinant, comparison with conventional methods)
Interests: Computational algebra, functional analysis, Olympiad programming.
Perhaps an implementation of some mathematical method in C++. Preferably without diffuses, and especially without terver and matstat. Avoid parallel programming if possible.

The methods of non-linear programming are very interesting now. I would choose to solve the knapsack problem with several methods and compare them.
