What to choose from 2 specializations that you like - Linux administration or web development?

I was going to move to St. Petersburg and thought about further specialization.
Introductory:

  1. I am 27 years old.
  2. Administration I have 6 years of experience in administration / enikeystvo
, of which the last 2.5 years - administration of Ubuntu, CentOS.
Solved the following tasks - to raise a proxy, a file server (both using normal rights and ACLs), DHCP / DNS servers, configure a firewall (iptables), VPN. After getting acquainted with Linux, I decided for myself that I don’t want to deal with small soft ones, I don’t want to be an office administrator either, and if I look for a job, then only administering Linux-based servers
  3. Web development (and programming in general)
No experience as such. There are courses on HTML / CSS, Python, PHP (after the course on Python, PHP seemed to be somehow very easy and not the most beautiful language) and a third of Ruby passed on codecademy.com . For Python, I'm also finishing Dawson's book.

As a result, I struggle in two directions - *nix administration (I know that I need to catch up in this direction) and web development, in which, in turn, I can’t make a choice in the direction of PL / framework - Ruby (RoR) / Python (Django) / PHP (too much holivar on this score, it catches my eye every day).
With web development, for example, RoR, it is not clear whether, for example, such a course will give a profit and an opportunity to find a job.
Thanks to.

There is no experience as such.

It decides.
If you know at least some programming languages before, then in PHP you can start riveting something at least on the first day after you start learning. And they rivet (with often deplorable consequences).
And to get a job after the courses only ... Too optimistic.

Become an admin. And then whatever. Moreover, you are already reading Python, and admins write a lot in scripting languages.

A similar problem, only I'm not a Linux, but a Windows enikey. Well, a little younger...
At the same time, I want to quit everything the fuck and go to at least some kind of web development, but the under-junior did not give up to anyone for more or less adequate money.

In my opinion, web development is more promising, especially since neither Windows nor office administration suits you, and without them (more precisely, with a guarantee of their absence), the niche remains not very large. PHP, of course, is not sugar, but enikeyism at the age of 30, I think, is even more dead end.
