What "simulators" on Vim do you know?
For me, Vim is not the main development tool, but I have always been interested in the approach used in this editor. Apparently, it was precisely due to the fact that this is not the main tool for me and I have little practice in it, there was a desire to practice in a playful way or in the form of performing certain tasks.

Type vimtutor into your head - this trainer comes with vim.
There is also a game about vim
all these vim simulators are rare crap for noobs
there is a good book, you should read shop.oreilly.com/product/9780596529833.do (available in Russian)
and then just switch to permanent use as the main editor (preferably in * nix , because you can configure all sorts of aliases to run, etc., gVim under Windows as F4 external editor in Total Commander)
only use, mechanical memory, disable arrows, vimL, your .vimrc in github, etc.
I am writing from my own experience, because once asked the same question
