What should I do if Premiere Pro cc17 crashes while applying Essential Graphics effects?

Premiere crashes when I apply one of the additional Essential Graphics effects downloaded from the envanto market to a track.
Error: Sorry, a serious error has occurred that requires Adobe Premiere Pro to shut down. We will attempt to save your current project.

I rebooted the computer, applied the effect to a blank photo without additional effects - it did not help.
