What should be the speed of writing a .mkv file to a USB flash drive?

Good afternoon, I have a flash drive and a laptop. I often watch movies on 55 "plasma - and the best way out is movies on a flash drive. So I download files in .mkv and in 1080p they weigh about 15-20GB. When recording to a flash drive, the speed is 12mb / s. 30 minutes. This should be the speed? The laptop is new, ssd 256, I7-8750h. Maybe it's a flash drive (cheap enough, 1000r for 32GB). Or there are restrictions somewhere and you can increase the write speed
