What resolution of banners for the site should I order from the designer?

Please tell me:
1. What resolution of banners for the site should I order from the designer?
The designer suggests 72-96 pixels, which is enough for the web.
I think to order with a margin of 300 pixels. You never know later it will come in handy for printing or something else.
2. Should banner sizes be given in mm or pixels?
Thank you.

1. Banners are different. Standard sizes of banners
2. For the Internet in pixels, of course.
For printing, you need more millimeters and DPI. Different magazines/newspapers may have different sizes.

If for a billboard , then everything is generally huge, but it is better to check the dimensions with the manufacturing company.
