What processors does bios support?

To replace the processor in a laptop with a more powerful one, it is said to look at whether the processor I am going to install supports my BIOS or not.
The problem is that I don’t know how to look at it, there is no this information on the laptop manufacturer’s website, on the website of the bios creators too. How to be?
Laptop - sony vaio vpceb3c4r.
BIOS Type- -AMI EFI
BIOS Version - R1100Y8 Brand
- American Megatrends Inc.
Help me get this information. You are welcome)

You've been told some heresy.
When choosing a processor, look at the socket so that the motherboard supports it.

@strelokr

you have an i3 370M processor
, we can assume that any processor of this series will
do . so setting the maximum in the 2.6 line will not help you much. Not worth the money.
