What needs to be fixed/changed in the design?
Hello. Heremade the third time (before that there were attempts, where after half of the drawing everything flew into the trash and started from scratch) portfolio design. The questions are: What to change? What needs to be added? What are the jambs? Everything was done in Photoshop, with a transparent bootstrap grid overlaid on top. Before trying, I read a book on design from Photoshop taken on Habré, and about the requirements of layout designers for psd layouts (about grouping layers, drawing things that can be displayed in layout without crutches, etc.). I understand that the layout is very simple, etc., is there any point in trying to copy the design from other sites for practice? And I ask you to advise literature on design or maybe some articles that you don’t feel sorry for. Thanks everyone for the replies. Criticism and answers in the style: "you got your hands out of your ass, go sweep the streets of the fucking designer" are welcome.

I have never understood people who ask for such layouts to evaluate. If you yourself do not see that this is terrible, then nothing will help you .... no lessons and examples.
Throw it in the trash and try to draw layouts from the lessons, for starters.

There is. Lots to watch, practice and compare. Disassemble other people's layouts, carefully. Look closely at the details and try to repeat.
In this layout, there is nothing to alter and add. It's in the trash. But don't get upset.
Take some small existing site with existing content and make it the main page. Throw away. Then do it again. Throw it out again. So several times. Think, compare what's wrong.
In the end, you will see how the skills will be pulled up.
I’m not a designer, but I’ll propose to make the next round “everything flew into the trash and started from scratch”)
In general, there is only one way everywhere ... you learn the base of materiel, do it somehow, learn it again, do it again, correct it, throw it away, look how others do, and again you read, look, do, do, do....
The only problem is time. You need to be sure that this is yours, otherwise you can come to the conclusion that you are not interested in it, there is not much progress, you choose something else and you no longer need these skills. And time cannot be returned.
That same feeling when a standard layout on the people is the height of perfection
Just check out the work on Dribbble and Bé .
Just copy other people's work, you can in the beginning impudently, changing the text on the layout to fit your own.
