What method to use when moving from one domain to another?

The easiest way is 301 redirect.
But what about rel: canonical url and rel: alternate?
The 2nd method is more difficult and more trouble, but there are rumors that it is more profitable so as not to lose the position of the site

doubtful. This method is more suitable for two sites. And since you bang the second domain over time, I don’t think this is the right way. Yes, and 301 redirects are exactly what the search engine expects when moving.

The first thing you need to start with is to create a complete copy of your resource on the new domain. This is done quite simply - you copy all the files from the old hosting and upload them to the new one. After everything is transferred, register the DNS for the new domain, wait until they are updated and the site becomes available on the new domain name. If you don’t do it yourself, I recommend contacting www.runita.ru
