What mechanism should be used to raise and lower the pins?

This should happen fast enough for 1 second up and down.
The pins must rise and fall at the same time.
Nothing comes to my mind.
Any ideas?
This may be some kind of electric motor or a manual mechanism.
If it’s manual, I’m thinking maybe due to the lever that needs to be pulled towards you and released.
It is desirable that it does not take up much space under the detail.
The part itself is about 15 cm in diameter and about 1 cm high.
