What job is similar to using and programming bots for online games?

I wrote and used bots for online games 5 years ago, but now I understand that this was one of the most interesting activities.
What I liked:
1) Determining the location where you need to put the bot so that it brings good income and does not die;
2) Setting up the bot, taking into account all possible events;
3) continuous improvement of functions. Determining the function that brings the maximum result;
4) administration of bots, maintenance of continuous work. Making efforts to ensure that the bot is not found by administrators and is not banned;
5) and, of course, it's nice to see the increase in the amount of extracted resources, which is ultimately expressed in money $.
I used to work as a programmer, now I work as a business analyst, but I understand that this is not quite the same. What could be a similar profession? Maybe sales, own product, management, entrepreneurship?
