Processor i7 3770k, I have it disabled.

It is needed to run other operating systems inside Windows. For example, you can run Linux for some tasks, development, etc. When developing for Android, you can run an Android emulator using virtualization and test your applications in it.
Virtualization is not needed for everyday home tasks.
