What is the relationship between a positive article rating and a decrease in the author's karma?

I have repeatedly heard that Habr needs articles and authors.
However, practice shows the opposite - publications are gaining ratings and views, but the author's karma is decreasing.
For example:

Perhaps the topics of published articles are not purely IT, but is the rating of those very articles and their readability an insufficient indicator of community interest?
Although Milfgard's example refutes this:

Perhaps you can explain the dependence and causes to me?
This question is a gesture of desperation and I want to understand the logic of the community: I myself started writing on Habr not so long ago, albeit on a corporate blog, and my articles are gaining good ratings and views, and karma keeps around 0-3.
So close to negative karma, and hence to publications marked Recovery mode, but, as I noticed, such publications and their authors are minus, apparently out of principle.
Thank you all for your attention and replies!

There is no connection between karma and rating, from the word in general.
rating is the pros and cons for everything, posts and comments, it's easy for a person to click on the arrow next to the subject.
and for karma it is necessary to vote purposefully, which is lazy for most people. therefore, offended ones are usually marked in karma with a minus. such is psychology and this is observed not only in Habré.

Milfgard posts cool stories written in real language. When he writes for Mail.ru or for Krok, he also gets hurt. Here in one of his posts he shares his experience of writing such articles .
And in your blog you have a dull garbage from the series "defeat your laziness, deer", which has already managed to get many people sick. Hence the cons.

I have a dumb question. Why do you need karma?) Does it limit you in some way?
You won't believe it...but I'm fine with this state of affairs). I am limited in writing comments .. and therefore I am writing very purely on the case. I don't write articles for a reason... I don't like to give others ideas how to make money. too lazy to translate. who needs and so treated. regardless of karma. What is it about karma that bothers you so much?
