What is the problem with HDD on MacBook Pro Mid 2012?

I recently installed a 256 GB SSD and a 1 TB HDD instead of a drive in a mid-2012 MacBook Pro.
The SSD is working fine, but the hard drive is behaving strangely. For example, today he took and disconnected. I had to reboot, only then it appeared. When I start a video from the HDD, after 15-20 seconds it stops and stands still for a long time.
Has anyone experienced this? What do you advise?

Solved a problem. In a terabyte hard drive, the power consumption is 5v 800mA, in the original - 5v 700 mA. It seems that the terabyte one does not have enough energy for full-fledged work, so I had to pull it out and put my native one on 500 Gb. Everything works well, and I will use a terabyte through an external case.

There was such a nuance that there may be a jamb in Optibey. At one time, a friend came across this.

Either the connection is bad or the disk is dying, plug it into another computer and test

Take, remove the HDD from the Mac and check it with the proper software on another computer (preferably also a Mac).
If, on a computer with Windows, installing an HDD instead of a drive more or less rolled, and even a child can pull off this trick, then on a more gentle Mac, this may simply not take off. Mack will swear and plot.
In short, check the HDD for lice and survivability and try to install it instead of the drive again. If it doesn't work - forget the idea like a bad dream and buy an external HDD

try to format it. If it continues - try to withdraw. There is nothing to break in Optibey
