1) Photograph a sample of known length so that it occupies the entire length of the frame
2) Measure the distance to the sample
3) In EXIF ​​look at FocalLength
4) Calculate the sensor width: FocalLength * Sample Size / Distance
Example: I photographed my monitor with a length of 0.536 m from a distance of 0.48 m iPhone, the monitor took up the entire frame. iPhone camera focal length - 3.85 mm = 0.00385 m
Sensor width approximately - 0.00385 * 0.536 / 0.48 = 0.0042 m = 4 mm
