How to make a DSLR a webcam?

I have a Canon 650D, and I want to use it for Skype (of course, not in everyday life, but in especially important cases - at work).
The DSLR has an HDMI out (and on computers - an HDMI port), but there is no certainty that the DSLR can output video from it in real time. In addition, it is not clear how this video can then be used in Skype.
Does anyone have any idea?

In short and for free - No way!
with a surcharge - buy a webcam
with a large surcharge - a video capture
fee

It's like digging potatoes with a backhoe. IMHO, it's easier to buy a webcam than to fence such a garden. And besides, a DSLR is a DSLR and it is needed for completely different tasks.

Computers do have an HDMI output . Are you going to connect the output with the output? If possible, then with alternative firmware and via USB, and not via HDMI. Although in general there is nothing surprising in obtaining an image from a real-time DSLR, Capture One, for example, can do it. But how to tie it to Skype - I don’t know, thank you.

If I'm not mistaken, there was a program for Kenon. Pulled live-view via USB. Even on IXBT, the author gave away free keys to it.

I must say right away that DSLRs can suffer from matrix overheating in video mode, so they are poorly suited as webcams, even in such a perverted form.

After 2 years of searching, I still bought sparkosoft.com/sparkocam in real time via Skype super. My Canon EOS 500D did not work on the cracked version, but on the paid one with a bang. There you can buy cheaper if you take a separate version for Canon or Nikon. I took only for Canon.

Canon owners may start to rejoice. The company has released the EOS Webcam Utility, which allows you to use some mirrorless cameras, many DSLRs, and even some compacts as webcams when connected via USB without a video capture card. True, so far only beta and only for the American market, but this does not prevent it from being used in other regions. Here is the link: EOS Webcam Utility . It works not only with the cameras on the list: on the American form they write that it starts with the 600D and some others.
