What is the path to take to become a UI designer?

Good afternoon community.
What is useful to learn to start creating interface design? I am primarily interested in design, and secondly in programming. UX, as I understand it, is a bit of a different opera and this direction does not bother me much.
So:
What are some useful resources on this topic?
Where to take practice, from whom to learn?
How long will it take to enter the labor market? (given that I am a complete zero).
Or do you need to go to inst and get all the knowledge there? Are there those among you who, without a specialized education, were able to break into the UI market?

Those who were able to break into the UI market without a specialized education did not ask such questions, and were already doing something long before the institute.
It is not worth repeating their path, because the IT market does not stand still - what was rolled out 10 years ago is now hopelessly outdated and no one needs it.
I recommend that you just learn how to write any programs with any interface, and ask a similar question later, when you are not a complete zero - then the question will be formulated more correctly, and the answers will be more useful to you.
