What is the maximum number of monitors (and devices in general) that can be connected to a USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 / DisplayPort port?

I can't figure out the issue.
What is the maximum number of monitors that can be powered by a USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 / DisplayPort device (non-Thunderbolt)?

Let's say you have a USB-C hub with three DP ports and several USB ports.
Will it be possible to connect at least two 1920x1080 (Full HD) or 1920x1200 monitors, plus peripherals with USB 2.0 (well, or 3.0) to a laptop with USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 / DisplayPort via this hub?

Or am I mistaken in something? Then please explain.
