What is the latest open source PLC software?
Interested in current opensource developments for PLCs, analogues of Codesys. Basically, I'm still looking for LAD and the convenience of expanding support and configuring for a hypothetically new microcontroller.
I searched, found several projects, among them I liked one outwardly for its sophistication, written in Python (but I would do this with strong typing, and possibly on the Eclipse platform, for the sake of its editors). The second one I liked because of the possibility of simulation.
Basically, I was alerted by the fact that all the projects found have not been updated for a very long time, about 5 years. They themselves work as translators in C or Assembler, which is then compiled using the development environment to one or another MK. This is ok, but the implementation of the translation is done as if in haste.
Do you have experience with even minimal open source PLC software?
