How hard is it to port freecol to android?

Colleagues,
Here, if anyone does not know, the Poles made a port of freeciv to android before. Something doesn't really work for me, but it's funny.
play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=pl.org.zieli...
Is it possible to persuade a certain company (perhaps your own - here you also need to persuade, only shareholders) to spend a budget on a freecol port on Android?
It seems to be a good thing - more attention and money to free software. And not systems of torsion of banners. Although the banner, of course, can also be creatively drawn. But here the developments can be added to the project, and not thrown away by use.
Will this work? How much money to ask? Is it possible to call the application on Google Play like this: freecol @ <site of the sponsoring company> so that it would be more interesting for them to invest?

Freecol is a GPL game. This means that anyone can recompile it and put it in the FDroid repository. And there it will be free. And banners can be removed.

Well… I've been going to create something like this for half a year already… :) Maybe I'll just start in half a year.
