The current one is version 1809. The most stable ones are LTSC.

1809 is up-to-date, but there are programs that do not work on it.

The most stable is 1803. And 1809 is installed only on 21% of machines, and it's too early to talk about stability. Meanwhile, 1803 is installed on 70% of the machines and no critical defects have been reported from Microsoft.
