What is the empty space inside the laptop for?
Good day!
Notebook ASUS K51AE. Inside the laptop there is free space (empty), nothing was there initially.
According to my guesses (judging by the holes for the screws), you can screw another cooler. Perhaps in this place you can put some kind of cooler cooling system to replace the old one?
I would appreciate any thoughts on this, thanks.

Such vast spaces are not uncommon. Notebooks of the same series have several modifications. And something to tell me that in a cooler modification there is a place for a second sata and maybe m2
I think that in the same case there is an Asus laptop with an Intel chipset and processor. And the cooling system in it will be installed in this free space.
most likely under the cooling of the model with a discrete graphics card. then put another cooler
