Strictly speaking, a mocap is an image of a medium (smartphone, laptop, advertising stand, book, t-shirt, whatever) for inserting an image into it.
A wireframe is a sketch/sketch/draft of an interface. Schematic representation, in short.
A prototype is a functional sketch, that is, clickable. For example, usability tests can be done on prototypes.
What the hell, sketches began to be called mockups and prototypes, I xs, it started about 8 years ago. If you need to find a pretty iPhone that you can put your app's interface in place of the screen, you'll search for " iphone mockup ".
If you go to Wikipedia for " prototype ", you'll see the definition:
Prototype (engineering) - a working model, prototype of a device or part in design, construction, modeling.
technology for rapid "prototyping", rapid creation of prototypes or a working model of the system for demonstration to the customer or verification of the feasibility of implementation. The prototype is later refined to produce the final product.
Wireframe - a rough sketch to show how blocks and general ux work. You don't need to present it to the client, but rather for coders.
Mocap - maximum beauty and smooth animation, often wrapped in device mockups "just like a real screen". The client can and should be presented with music and fruits to make it flow (even if the final result is not so spectacular).
