What is the difference between "copying" and "inspiration"/"borrowing an idea" in web design?

For example, I found an “original slider idea” in the Awwwards collections, and if I want to use the “idea and concept” of this collection, will this be considered copying?

Yes, no one cares about this “original slider idea”.
Only if you don't submit it to the same Awwwards or some other competition. And in this case, 90% of all will not care.
The whole world is stealing ideas from each other. And that's okay.
And I hope they haven’t come up with patents for the “original slider idea” yet.

The line begins precisely from the word "copy" or "copy and change a little." Of course, you are unlikely to violate copyright, but you can undermine your trust.
Inspiration for designers works like this:
1. There is a goal to create something, let's say a calculator.
2. We look at cool works, like others have made this calculator.
3. Based on what we saw, we determine 3-4 coolest works, look at the most successful functionality, analyze - why is it done this way? We determine whether it will be convenient, whether it will suit your project or not.
4. Based on what we saw, we understand where to move, and do "our own".
Usually based on inspiration, the uniqueness of the work is 60 - 80%, and this is no longer a "copy".
We just watch how others do, we don’t know how to do some things and have never done them, so any information is very useful, we often improve what others have done and provide users with our own version.
