What is the current programming language to learn in order to work in your free time?

Good day.
Not much about myself, I work in a large company (car service, I'm a storekeeper). The amount of work is not yet foreseen, I would like to develop in my free time and learn a relevant programming language that would help me earn additional income for my family. Not necessarily big, just whatever.
I think the most popular things are programming on android and apple?
Could there be something else I'm missing out on?
I have almost no knowledge of languages, but I study well.
I would like to get advice on what language to study and where to get books on it.

If you have not programmed before, and suddenly decided to do it - this is a 180 degree turn. It will not be possible to combine, if only because to start programming you need to have some baggage of near-computer and computer knowledge, which has been accumulated over the years. You should not have hopes that you will work out for six months in your free time - and you will be able to earn. But if you really want to - study the vacancies in your city, make a list of the required technologies and find out more about each one. That way you can make your own decision.

If you just earn extra money - then PHP (of course, + css, + html, preferably + js at the level required for layout). There are many sites in the world, the lion's share is on PHP, so you can earn something at the proper level.
But it was rightly noted above that it’s impossible to become a programmer just like that. Encoder - quite. You need to have a good idea where your applications will run, what is needed for this. And tools, in the end, for, in fact, development and testing, setting up is still fun.

For part-time work, what can be done quickly is not so difficult to master, so I would choose Php + related technologies (layout, popular cms). This will allow you to study relatively quickly and the volume of freelance orders is quite good.
If you choose C # for example, then this is more of a corporate sector.
If programming for mobile devices, then a good foundation would be needed, it seems to me that it will still be more difficult than php. Yes, and orders are either turnkey projects, or full-fledged work for the office. Rarely are modifications required. A turnkey good application in your spare time can be problematic to do.
