What is the best programming language to use?
Please tell me,
for example, there is a request from a small network of private bakeries:
to write a program that would take into account the consumption of flour, sugar, salt and other ingredients for so many loaves of bread. Purpose: to make clear and visual the purchase of these same ingredients, how much is being spent and how much should be purchased in the near future. For example, the same way - to show it all not on one "loaf of bread", and not a dozen or two assortments (bread, buns, cakes, etc.) Without any ZUPs, but only the production process (quantity) + prices, for example.
Question: in your opinion, in what programming language is this task more convenient/optimal to implement? I would be grateful not just for the name of the language, but for a few words of argumentation.
I ask because, in my 30s, I would like to start learning some programming language in addition to my system administration, which in the relatively near future could be used to solve specific practical problems (read - orders). In very cautious plans - to change profession and go into development. An example with a program for a network of bakeries is from life, that's why I'm asking on it, on this example.
I always choose answers-solutions, thanks in advance.

Python is simple, visual, and efficient.)
He is quite popular now. It has a large community so it shouldn't be a problem to learn and find information, I can recommend a couple of books on it:
1. Python Bite == Python Basics
2. Learning Mark Lutz's Python 5th edition preferred == more in-depth study.
Well, here's the list:
Please.
Also, you can look for another box to suit your needs, the python is good but not ideal if you want to make games on it :).
You can watch the howdy ho video on YouTube
"Python in an hour" to get acquainted.
Have a good day or night).
For accounting tasks, nothing better than 1C has yet been invented.
