What is the correct name of the adapter from Slimline SATA instead of a DVD drive in a laptop to USB ports?

Hello!
Please tell me, if such devices exist, what are they called?
Something like an adapter or caddy / optibay (basket for HDD instead of an optical drive in a laptop) with Slimline SATA, only that there are several USB ports on the outside on a socket installed instead of an optical drive.
That is, like a mini docking station to increase the number of "native" USB ports on a laptop by replacing an optical drive that is not in use.
It's just that I have only 2 USB ports on my laptop, one is occupied by an external hard drive, the second is a USB hub for a mouse, a flash drive, a second external drive, a data cable for the phone. And with any connection or disconnection of the device to the hub, it turns off and on, the devices are reconnected every time.
Thanks a lot!

SATA to USB is not converted, so there are no such adapters.
I would advise you to buy an adequate hub with external power supply. I have this one connected to my computer: D-Link DUB-H7 / B.
Nothing turns off by itself, even the iPad has time to charge.
