What is the best way to organize catalog maintenance in 1C or on the website?

Greetings!
I want you to share your experience, how do you maintain a product catalog?
The problem is the following:
It seems to be logical to keep the catalog completely in 1C if there is already 1C.
But problems and difficulties arise. I have identified the following pluses and minuses for myself:
- (minuses) Problems of maintaining a catalog in 1C
1. It is not convenient to maintain a catalog structure (multiple subordination of categories).
2. It is not convenient to add a description - there is no way to format the text.
3. A lot of unnecessary (service) properties are proliferating. For example: prohibit the sale, do not upload to the Yandex market, a link to yourtube video and ...
4. There is no way to maintain multiple properties.
5. The result of the work is not visible. The content manager works in 1C, not on the site.
6. SEO has to be configured separately on the site.
7. There is no way to process pictures when adding.
8. Everything is aimed at making it convenient to work in 1C. Not a programmer or a manager enters the site. The programmer automates only the work of 1C. As a result, it may also be inconvenient for the client to work in an online store.
+ Advantages of maintaining a catalog in 1C
1. Everything is kept in one place.
2. Prices are still set in 1C.
3. The reliability of data storage in 1C is higher.
4. Loading a catalog in 1C is more flexible (it's easier / cheaper to program something).
5. It is possible to rework the catalog by group processing.
6. There remains the hypothetical possibility of moving to another site engine.
7. The manager has the opportunity to view the properties of the goods directly in 1C.
Now our work is structured as follows:
Now a new product is infected in 1C. All properties, descriptions and images are also entered in 1C. Data exchange is uploaded to the site.
We want to try to change the way we work. And in 1C leave only the names of the goods, and keep everything else on the site. In my opinion, this will make it possible to "combine the catalog" more qualitatively and make it convenient for the buyer, and not for us.
I want you to share your experience, maybe there is some kind of rake ahead that I don’t see?
(CMS Bitrix, 1C-UT11, 2 sites and 2 catalogs of 10 and 15 thousand products each. We are starting to upload a lot of new products).

Hire a competent 1C programmer who will do everything you need to run a store in 1C.
Apparently you write about problems in 1C out of the box. After improvements, you can do everything that you write, even deal with the problem of duplicate pages for similar products.

From experience.
One of the clients had a layer. Additional 1C configuration in which information on goods was maintained. It merged data on the Nomenclature from accounting systems, incl. current balances. This was done from 3 accounting systems.
Further there, this NSI was sorted by 7 sites, 3 of them with slightly overlapping nomenclature. Site structure, additional requisites c.h. html fields. For details, it was indicated whether they should be displayed on the site or not.
From this conf it was already downloaded to the sites. Orders were loaded, which were then transmitted to the required accounting system.
Generally globally done.
