What is the best way to develop in web design?

What is the best way to grow professionally: copying other people's work cleanly (on the table) or creating your own work using the best solutions from other designs?

Feel free to copy! So you will understand how certain elements in the design are made. Almost every designer "compiles" work from already seen works, projects. It doesn't matter if he realizes it or not. Experienced designers therefore do not copy, because they have already seen a lot. By copying works, your arsenal of design features will grow. Just do not draw on the layer, copy from memory, open, look, close and further in a circle - this is many times more efficient. Sometimes you want to bring something of your own - give free rein to creativity. Analyze the work, try to understand what can be improved in the design, what is done cool and why it is cool. And of course, a full carbon copy goes to the table) And yes, the main thing is more practice. Do not forget the theory either, without it you will not understand well what and why.

As Pablo Picasso said, "Un artista copia, un gran artista roba".
Good artists copy, great artists steal.

You apparently have no imagination since you ask such questions, the design is not yours.
