What is the best Macbook Pro to buy now?

It's time to upgrade: you need a Macbook Pro with a 15 "-16" screen, no special wishes, except that it was not used.
Tasks: household + photo processing in Photoshop and Lightroom, but all this modern will pull.
500 GB of space is enough (archives on external USB drives).

What would you advise to take now, so that "not for one year", but also without fanaticism? What are the options?
PS: I don’t see the point in taking the newest one for 200k, because there is a large% only for novelty.

But newness isn't bad, is it?
In a 16" macbook, a 9th generation processor, a fast SSD, good cooling compared to other macbooks. Finally, the GPU pulls anything, if you want to play - play, if you don't want - don't play. Previously, you only wanted to play - suffer) But personally I like that the launchpad does not lag on it)))
Old macbooks 15 "- problematic keyboard and flexgate on earlier versions, there is little joy ...

No. When they switch to ARM, old Macs will probably drop in price in the secondary market.
I would have waited...

Take the macbook 15 of 2015, this is the last laptop with normal ports and it will still be supported in terms of software for at least a couple of years, it still has the opportunity to change the ssd, and the ssd in it is quite even by modern standards about a gig for writing and 1700 for reading, good sound through the built-in speakers, a tolerable video card from amd, in any case, at minimum levels, a lot of things will be pulled from the new one and there is always the opportunity to connect an external video card via thunderbolt and you will already be playing on ultra or working with 8k in final cut, and most importantly it has a price tag on resale average 900 bucks.
If we compare it in terms of processing with a fresh 16-inch model, then there is a two-fold difference, but according to the price tag, all four and it’s not a fact that such performance will be needed.
I myself puzzled over this issue and eventually bought myself this particular model.
