What is better I3-6100 vs FX-8300 for video editing and photoshop?

Good afternoon. I want to assemble a budget machine for working with graphics and video. Tell me what is better for these purposes? Take the old FX-8300, which is 8-core, or take the less powerful i3, but on a new platform? Everything else will be the same in terms of RAM and video card.
