What is a good app to remote control a PC (Windows 7) from an Android smartphone?

In the evenings, I often use my laptop as a TV - I turn it to the sofa on which I sleep (the sofa is next to the table and I have good eyesight), I lie down to turn on something to look at the dream to come ...
It would be cool to be able to not get up and without approaching the table, adjust the brightness, volume, pause, rewind, send the computer to hibernate.
Recommend a program for this. I would very much like it to work locally, without the help of third-party servers.
PS: While writing, it occurred to me - in general, it would be cool if it were possible to use an android phone as a laptop touchpad, controlling the mouse pointer on it and / or redirecting the keyboard from the android to the computer (I have a physical qwerty).
As an option, VNC or something like that comes to mind, but it seems to me that this will be a rough solution (especially considering the 320x240 android screen), I wonder if there is something specialized.

I used AirDroid though on the local network.
