What has more career prospects in the backend: PHP or Node.js?
I can't choose between these two technologies. I like them both and they both have their advantages. As a matter of fact, I understand that language is just a tool.
But the career prospects for these two tools, I believe, may be different. How to choose?
In particular, I wonder if the average salaries of these specialists differ greatly in the CIS? Personally, I could not find big differences, but I'm not sure of the correctness of my conclusions.
If I choose JS, then, most likely, freelancing will no longer be available to me? On the exchanges, I saw an almost complete absence of orders for Node.js technology, while PHP is everywhere there. Really, if I take Node.js for further deepening, only the office shines for me, and networking will be almost impossible? I understand that freelancing has its downsides, but it's definitely a useful option.
As it seemed to me earlier, PHP is a stagnant technology that Node.js is very quickly replacing. Or is it not? Still, vacancies and freelance exchanges say otherwise?
What can I rely on when choosing?

specialists have perspectives, language does not decide.
As it seemed to me earlier, PHP is a stagnating technology that Node.js is very quickly replacing. Or is it not?has been pushing it out for ten years now. and nothing.

Soon, soon, thanks to server-side JS, server-side applications will stupidly have nothing left but the last choice - to give up. Well, it just so happened that nothing can compete with JS. Python and Ruby might try, but not likely )
many more career prospects have another language - English.
Learn it and you will be able to work with php, nodejs and freelance and in the office and remotely and whatever you like.
From personal experience, php requires a lot of things, for little money.
In addition, on average, php hospital developers write disgusting code. The probability of stumbling upon anyhow as a written project is almost 100%.
Of the benefits - a lot of Russian-speaking distance.
The node has all the same problems, only the amount of work is smaller.
As for the prospects: Golang has been growing since the beginning of the year (somewhere x2.5 from the beginning of the year to the current moment) in terms of the number of vacancies (including remote work).
There are fewer requirements for high salaries than in php.
