What happens if you move a hard drive from one PC to another?
Hello!
There was such a situation, my friend’s brother wants to play on a normal PC, his older brother (my friend) doesn’t let me, I don’t understand why, but now he left, set a password, etc., but what will happen if you rearrange the hard drive from one PC on the other?)
Hardware is different, hard drives already with Windows and installed programs.
Or maybe it’s worth formatting one hard drive, installing bare Windows and only then changing it?)

play on normal pcthis is far from true. In this case, Windows will start adapting to the hardware, change a bunch of shitty settings, change a bunch of shitty firewood.
Everything will be fine. I moved SSD from AMD/AMD laptop to Intel/nvidia laptop without any problems.
Can I connect an old hard drive to a new computer so that all data is preserved?
To begin with, it would be good to find out where this password is - on the BIOS or on Windows.
In the second case, you need to turn off the HDD, put a second HDD in the computer, roll Windows onto it, install games and play. Then pick up your disk, connect the original one.
Or do you want to play on another computer? Then what's the problem, there's no password there?
