What fonts can be legally used in an e-book released in pdf under Creative Commons?

What fonts can be legally used in an e-book released in pdf under Creative Commons?
How legal is it to use a bunch of Calibri, Cambria, Consolas?

I remember about epub and other formats without embedded fonts, but there are still diagrams with inscriptions.

Microsoft has 4 levels of font embedding permissions. All specified fonts belong to the "editable" level and can be embedded in the document, incl. to a document that is distributed with editing rights (for example, to a template).
In graphics charts where fonts are not embedded, they can be used regardless of embedding permissions, as long as you have the legal right to use the font.

In Google Web Fonts (http://www.google.com/webfonts) you can pick up something - there are all fonts with an open license.
