What does Unity look like on 4K monitors?

I want to buy a 4K monitor and I wonder if Unity will be displayed normally on such a display?
The question comes from the friendship curve of macbook pro 13 retina 2015 and Unity. The program itself is very clumsily rendered.

You can always put a lower resolution on a 4K monitor. But the retina can not be removed.
