What does the author of the article mean by epilogue?

It amazes me how and what I think people who write Bitrix documentation.

The technology operation algorithm can be described as follows:
When a visitor enters site A, the identifiers given to him will be stored in a cookie using the CMain::set_cookie function, the main task of which is not only to set a cookie for the current site A, but also to remember the data of this cookie for further spreading it to other sites B, C, D.
At the end of the visual part of the EPILOGUE , the CMain::ShowSpreadCookieHTML function is called. As a result, it will turn out that the cookie set on site A will be copied (transferred) to other sites - B, C, D.
The same is true for other sites. If a visitor, having entered site B, receives an identifier that needs to be stored in a cookie, then this identifier will also be stored for other sites A, C, D. Thus, we achieve a single set of cookies for all sites of one portal.

I don't know, maybe it's obvious to someone, but what does it mean? )

What exactly is causing you questions? This function is used to synchronize cookies between sites when using the "Multi-site" technology.
